PRESCHOOL 3'S LEAD TEACHER
Deane Carlson has taught at Holliston Christian
Preschool for over 20 years as Lead Teacher in the 3
year old program. She was educated at Mass Bay
Community College and has also studied at Clark
University and Rhode Island School of Design.
Both of her children and grandchildren are HCP alumni.
She lives in Bellingham with her husband and two cats.
PRESCHOOL 3'S, MARION KENNEY
This is Marion's second year at Holliston Christian Preschool.
She holds a Bachelors Degree in education from Curry College and is Director and Lead Teacher certified.
She has taught in both the public school and area preschools.
After a 21 year
career as site manager for the Guild of St Agnes she decided to retire and return to her first love,
that of teaching in the classroom. Marian resides in Bellingham and enjoys spending time with her 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
DIRECTOR, ALMA BAKER
Alma Baker began as a preschool teacher and has now been the Director at Holliston Christian Preschool for over 20 years. She was educated at Mass Bay Community College and Dean College
Her three children attended and now her grandchildren
attend Holliston Christian Preschool.
She lives in Holliston with her husband.
PRE K 4'S LEAD TEACHER
Stacey McGovern, M.Ed. was born and raised in
Massachusetts and was graduated from Montrose School and
Framingham State College. After graduation, she
worked as an elementary school teacher, teaching third
grade in an
inclusion setting for five years. Her
career blossomed, as was evident when she was nominated
twice for Massachusetts Teacher of the Year.
Stacey earned a Masters’ Degree in Education with a GPA
of 3.9 at Lesley University in 1999. In addition
to her classroom teaching experience, Mrs. McGovern has
facilitated workshops for teachers in Massachusetts on
teaching students with special needs.
Stacey McGovern has directed fitness programs for
preschoolers at Gold’s Gym in Millis and taught dance at
the Patti Eisenhauer Dance center in Franklin, MA.
Stacey has written for The Boston Globe Magazine and
Woman’s World Magazine. She has also been a guest
speaker at many schools, churches and women’s groups.
In the spring of 2008, Stacey McGovern was one of three
Keynote Speakers at The Boston Catholic Woman’s
Conference at Boston College.
Stacey McGovern and her husband are the proud parents of three children.
PRE K 4'S, JANET DANISH
Janet Danish has taught at Holliston Christian
Preschool for 3 years in the Pre-K program. She
started substituting in 1999. She has a Associate
degree from Aqunas Junior College and is certified by
the state to teach preschool.
Her three girls
attended HCP.
She lives in Milford with her family.
PRE K 4'S, Jen Culver
Jen Culver is currently the creative arts teacher in the 4 year old Pre-K program.
She holds a Bachelors degree in Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University.
She put her creative talent to use as a media planner before taking time off to raise her children.
Jen and her husband are the proud parents of three daughters, all of which have attended Holliston Christian Preschool.
PRESCHOOL 3'S, NATASHA STEVENS
Natasha Stevens has a Bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in Education from Framingham State
College. She has been teaching for over ten years and is most recently teaching at Holliston
Christian Preschool
after taking a break to raise her two children. She was a substitute teacher
in the the Preschool 3's and Pre-K 4 Classes last year (2007/2008 school year).
She lives in Holliston with her family.
PRE K 4'S, Denise Sarazin
Denise graduated from Westfield State College with a Bachelor's Degree in Education at the Elementary level.
and a Reading minor. She spent time teaching at The Magic Garden Nursery School in Lincoln, with the Concord Early Intervention.
After a year of substituting in the Weston Schools she was hired as a Teacher for Remedial Reading and Math at the Woodland School in Weston.
She took a break from teaching to raise her three children and is now working as a teacher in the Pre-K classroom.
She lives in Franklin with her family.
